Everything Sauce! (Chipotle Aoili)
I must really love you guys because I’m sharing all of my secret recipes with you. Like this super easy and super delicious everything sauce! It’s a sauce that I frequently use in burgers, sandwich recipes, as a dipping sauce, and especially in tacos. It’s flavorful and has a nice kick to it.
Here’s what you need to know:
I used mayo here as the base for the sauce but if you’re not very into mayo, sour cream is a great alternative. It’s just as creamy and does the trick! I’ve used both and it’s equally delicious
I used a Chipotle Adobo paste that I purchased from Wegmans to make things easier and to avoid blending. Definitely purchase it if you can find it. If not, you’ll have to blend this sauce until nice and smooth.
Alternatively, you can just scoop up the juices from your chipotles in adobo within the can
If you want to get creative, try substituting the chipotles in adobo for sriracha. So good and another Aioli variation that I love to use.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of mayonnaise or sour cream
Juice of half of a lime
2 tablespoons of chipotle peppers in adobo (in a can or paste)
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, I used my Home Beis House blend for added flavor
Small pinch of salt
Directions:
If using the canned version: Scoop two tablespoons of your chipotle peppers and add to a blender. In the blender along with the peppers, add in your mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
If using the paste version: Simply add in all of your ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine.
This sauce is great to use in tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and even as dipping sauce. Use as you wish and enjoy!
