4 Easy Wing Sauce Recipes

What’s the one thing that HAS to be at every sports gathering? I’ll tell you. It’s wings! Whether they’re air-fried, fried, or even baked, the secret to a great wing is having the right crisp (IMO) and the best sauce! And guess what? I have you covered on the sauces! The crispy part, I have you covered also.

Here are four of my favorite wing sauce recipes. All are easy to execute, can be used for all types of wing variations (fried, air-fried, baked, and even vegan wings), and are finger licking good.

My advice is to pop your wings in the air-fryer by using my crispy wing method for easy clean up instead of frying them this year. They come out nice and crispy and it’s a lot less work. Plus, these are healthier.

Hot & Honey Sauce (Coats about 15-20 wings)

Melt butter and whisk with other two ingredients while the butter is still warm. Combine and toss wings in sauce.

  • 3 tablespoons of butter, melted

  • 1 cup of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce

  • 3-5 tablespoons of honey

Korean BBQ Sauce (coats about 15-20 wings)

This recipe is great for boneless and bone-in wings. It’s part of my Korean Fried Chicken recipe.

Whisk ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and then simmer in a sauce pan on the stove under medium to high heat until sauce begins to bubble. Then, toss wings in sauce.

  • 1 tbsp of sriracha

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 4.5 tbsp brown sugar

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp of ginger, peeled and finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil

  • 8 stalks of green onion, sliced long into thin strips as garnish

  • 1.5 tsp sesame seeds, as garnish

  • 2 pinches of red pepper flakes (about 1.5 tsps), as garnish

Jerk BBQ Sauce (coats about 20-25 wings)

Whisk ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and then simmer in a sauce pan on the stove under medium to high heat until sauce begins to bubble. Then, toss wings in sauce.

Soy Honey Sauce (coats about 20-25 wings)

This recipe is great for boneless and bone-in wings. It’s part of my Soy Honey Air Fried Wings recipe

Whisk ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and then simmer in a sauce pan on the stove under medium to high heat until sauce begins to bubble. Then, toss wings in sauce.

  • 1/2 cup of honey

  • 1/4 cup of low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 cup of pineapple juice or orange juice

  • 2 teaspoon of sriracha

  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

  • 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped or mashed

  • 3-4 garlic cubes, finely chopped or mashed
